Douglas Kunstberatung was founded in 1996 by Dr. Christoph Graf Douglas. The company specializes in advising international clients in the acquisition and sale of collections of visual and applied arts. It also mediates the sale of important individual works of art. We work with renowned experts and cover a wide range from Old Masters to Contemporary Art.
We received worldwide recognition for our involvement in selling major works of art such as the collection of Old Masters from the Royal House of Fürstenberg, the memoirs of Giacomo Casanova, Hans Holbein the Younger’s Darmstadt Madonna and the diaries of Alexander von Humboldt to public institutions and museums.
In 2016 Marie-Catherine Countess Douglas took over the reins of her father’s business.
She studied history and history of art at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and at the Sorbonne in Paris and has gained extensive experience working in the international art market.
With connections to a worldwide network of museums, institutions, collectors and experts Douglas Kunstberatung offers discreet and dedicated independent advice.
